Southwest USA climbing and hiking! Escalades et marches en montagnes Sud-Ouest Etat-Unis

Next we head off on our own again to Zion, Snowy Canyon Provincial Park (by St-Georges Utah), Red Rocks by Las Vegas and Alabama Hills, California.

Back to trailer livin'! It is tight but we do sleep well in there!

Horseshoe Canyon in between Grand Canyon and Zion. Beautiful!

Flowers growing in harsh conditions!

Zion National Park: breathtaking!

Long tunnel under the rocks!

Some people have big rigs and some not so much... does size really matter?

 Zion Zion Zion!

Snowy Canyon Utah. Walking on petrified sand dunes!

Crossing Death Valley.
Americana:

Camping and climbing in the Alabama Hills, eastern sierras, at the foot of Mount Whitney.
we spent 9 days here, wilderness camping, no toilets, no showers...

some people were so keen to climb, they did it straight from the trailer window!

Rick/Heather/Liam and Ellery and the Grand Canyon

Back in the USA!
De retour au Etat-Unis!

First thing we do is go to eat mexican food and in the process Gareth ate the spiciest Chile Rellenos ever made! Fiiire!

We head straight up to Flagstaff for a couple days to re-group and re-sort our gear. Surfboards and KiteSurf equipment go at the back of the truck box and climbing/hiking gear come to the front.

We meet up with our dear dear friends Heather and Rick at the Grand Canyon! It is sooo much fun to spend time with them and their two kids Liam and Ellery.

Haven't laid on grass for 3 months! ca fait longtemps qu'on ne s'est pas couché sur le gazon!

 a javelina! little wild pig!

the money shot!

our kids are a good fit!!! play play play!

walking down first and then up. la descente avant et la remontée pour finir.

the whole gang together! toute la gagne ensemble!

Going back up the Baja Peninsula/ La remontée de la peninsule de Baja.

First stop: Conejo beach. Amazing surf, scenery, dunes and tranquility.
Premier arret: plage Conejo. Belles vagues, paysage, dunes et tranquilité.
However there was a ride tide, some sort of red coloured seaweed that is not good to swim in. Gareth surfed anyways but the boys didn't.

Gareth and I are getting along fine! we are great travel partners!

Then, thanks to Gareth's spontaneity, we ended up taking this road leading to nowhere (or so we thought) to end up in a EcoAdventure of a lifetime! San Ignacio Bay is a long drive through desolate salt beds and low tide muddy bog but it was worth it! We got to see grey whale mamas and their babies frolicking in the bay and coming right up to us in the boats! Best experience ever!

a beach like not other.../une plage pas comme les autres...
 with unique seashells!/avec coquillages uniques!
